I'm whatever cartoons need me to be

Here’s a bunch of different pieces that I’ve completed over the years. Magazine covers, wraps, posters, you name it.

Illustration

So you need that visualized?

I do editorial illustrations when needed. They’re fun and let me burrow an idea into a potential reader’s brain. I’ve also used previous artwork and even stock illustration, adapted them and applied them onto their new destinations while consistently making people happy along the way. Oh yeah!

For most of my work, I usually start with a brief, something that might seem foreign to a lot of people. I suss out my info and then start hammering the sketchbook, working on preliminary sketches and getting a feel for the idea. I then scan some sketches, moving forward to a more refined rendering and a chosen winner is finalized.
Every now and again I’m asked to adapt artwork to an already established look. Easy peasy. We again, start with a brief, very important, and work out what new positions or treatment will be applied. Dr. GoodBear on the hospital food carts is an excellent example of this.
